The concept is pretty simple really. The purpose of Covet Markets is to bring small businesses to the forefront. To embrace what’s local and handmade. And to have some fun in the process.
Chicago Woman magazine produces Covet Markets as a “way to support local businesses – many of which are women-owned – and bring the best of Chicago to shoppers,” reads the website.
The result is a series of curated marketplaces in the heart of the West Loop in Chicago. The first quarterly market of 2018 will be held at Revel Fulton Market, a warehouse turned urban-chic destination for events of this kind.
More than 80 vendors will come together from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Revel, 1215 W. Fulton Street.
“Covet Markets offer a diverse, quality shopping experience that celebrates independent producers, makers, purveyors, and vendors,” the website reads. “But more than that, it’s about people and place: meeting the people behind the products, conversation with friends and supporting local business.”
The event will feature a unique selection of jewelry, clothing, accessories, housewares and more, just in time for Mother’s Day.
In addition, there will be free mini beauty services and complimentary Sunday cocktails with each ticket, which are $8 each or four for $24.
